The Midland Police Department (MPD) has alerted residents to a scam call in which the alleged caller identifies themselves as interim Chief of Police Greg Snow. According to the Permian Basin law enforcement agency, the message is a scam and was not approved by Snow.

The Midland Fire Department (MFD) was among a few in the Permian Basin to respond to a June 12 blaze in the 5000 block of East County Road 60. MCSO investigates shooting incident, 37-year-old male arrested

The Midland County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrested a 37-year-old male on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury charge. Authorities accuse Daniel Rico of shooting another man in the face in the 1200 block of North County Road 1081 on June 9.
