Midland Crime Stoppers is assisting the Midland County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in the investigation of an alleged homicide last month. MCSO has identified a person of interest but stated that no tips are needed at this time regarding that individual.

According to a June 21 Facebook post attributed to Midland Crime Stoppers, a $6,000 cash reward will be given in exchange for information on the case.

The post indicates that the suspect is a male who drives a white Ford Expedition. It mentions that on May 12, MCSO responded to a medical call in the 10400 block of W I-20 sometime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Shortly after their arrival, authorities discovered a deceased male subject with an apparent gunshot wound.

Permian Basin NBC affiliate KWES News reported that MCSO suspected foul play in the case, with the decedent having been sent off for an autopsy.

The post also said that investigators came upon video footage showing the white Ford Expedition in question in the vicinity at the time of the incident. According to the post, the suspect purportedly wore a dark-colored cap, black Buc-ee’s hoodie, blue jeans, and work boots.
