Midlanders are encouraged to sign up for Alert Midland, the city’s emergency alert program. The program helps residents stay informed about emergencies and other important information.
According to a press release issued by the city on June 24, the Everbridge System will enable the city to quickly update those who have signed up on severe weather, infrastructure disruptions, unexpected road closures, missing persons, and building or neighborhood evacuations.
The release stated that residents in a particular neighborhood or street will be alerted by the reverse 911 system.
Furthermore, anyone who signs up for Alert Midland can receive time-sensitive messages through telephone, email, and other communication methods.
