On the afternoon of September 12, the Midland County District Attorney's office announced the sentencing of 23-year-old Armando Barba to 15 years in prison for Failure to Stop and Render Aid, and 10 years for Tampering with Physical Evidence. The charges stem from a June 6, 2021, incident where Barba struck 23-year-old Theron Brown as he crossed Industrial Avenue after leaving a concert at the Rusty Bucket BBQ and Tavern in Midland, according to a statement issued by the district attorney’s office.

The luxury hotel, situated in the heart of downtown, will feature approximately 15,000 square feet of meeting space, a 7,000-square-foot ballroom, 135 guest rooms, a rooftop pool, a spa, and a lobby bar with an all-day dining concept. Midland unveils $700K radio antenna project with Cox grant

Midland County is celebrating completion of a $700,000 public safety radio antenna project. The project was funded by a Cox Communications grant to upgrade two antennas and add three new ones.
