The Permian Basin Society for Human Resource Management (PBSHRM) will host the EmpowerHR Conference & Expo on September 12, 2024, at the Bush Convention Center in Midland, Texas. The event will bring together HR professionals from the region for a day of learning and networking.
The conference will feature keynote speakers Jovan Glasgow and Suzanne Lucas. Glasgow, a speaker and coach, will guide participants on moving from transactional to transformational HR practices. Lucas, known as the "Evil HR Lady," will offer advice on how HR professionals can take control of their careers and make decisions in their organizations.
The conference is expected to attract over 100 HR professionals from various industries, providing an opportunity for attendees to network, share ideas, and explore trends in human resources. The event will include eight breakout sessions covering a range of topics.
The conference and expo is sponsored by the Midland Times, The Springboard Center , Paylocity, ProPetro, and The Marriott of Odessa. Paylocity will also host a pre-conference networking mixer on the evening of September 11.
Attendees can also look forward to a BBQ lunch from Half Acres, door prizes, and an exhibition featuring 14 vendors. The expo offers a chance to discover tools and services that can improve HR practices.
