Missing family heirlooms | Erin Hamilton Rogers

A family in Greentree, Texas, is reaching out to the community for help in recovering treasured family heirlooms that were sold during an estate sale held from August 22-24.

Erin Hamilton Rogers, a member of the family, said that several “deeply cherished” items were unfortunately included in the sale. The items hold “significant sentimental value,” representing the family’s legacy and history. Among the items sold were white bowls and plates by Frank Oma Pottery, quilts that once belonged to the family matriarch, a pink crystal pie dish, a large unfinished quilt stored in a plastic comforter bag, black and brown Michael Obranovich pottery collected over generations, and an antique mirror.

The family is also searching for a particularly meaningful item—the cowboy hat and boots worn by Erin’s late Grandfather. Rogers said the items are "irreplaceable" due to their connection to the family’s history and the memories they represent.

The family is willing to buy back each item. They have shared photos of some of the sold items in hopes that the community might recognize them and assist in their recovery.

Rogers and her family have also taken to social media, asking for help from the wider community. They encourage anyone who may have purchased these items, or who knows someone who did, to reach out. The family is optimistic that through community support, they can recover the heirlooms to preserve their family’s history.
