The Texas Leadership Charter Academy (TLCA) Eagles are set to kick off their varsity football season this Friday, August 30, at Grande Stadium, where they will face Balmorhea at 7:30 PM.
The TLCA Eagles, competing in the Texas Christian Athletic League (TCAL), are eager to build on last season's performance, where they finished with a 4-7 record and ranked third in their district.
Leading the team this year is quarterback Nathanael Guebara (#7), who will be supported by key players including wide receiver Marcos Cortez (#1), running back Zachary Machuca (#6), and safety Malachi Robles (#13).
Head Coach Gavin Morris, along with Assistant Coaches Dru Taylor and Chase Burton, has been preparing the team to improve their record and make a strong impact in the 2023-2024 season. The team is focused on enhancing their national ranking, which currently stands at 1,060, and their Texas state ranking of 185, according to maxpreps.com.
