Affinity Steel, a Midland-based metal building provider, will celebrate the grand opening of its new 100,000-square-foot facility on Saturday, September 7, from 8 AM to 5 PM at 4507 S County Road 1232. The event is open to the public and features a petting zoo, check presentation, customer appreciation luncheon, mariachi band, and product demonstrations, according to a press release.
The event will showcase Affinity Steel’s innovative products and visitors can explore Affinity Steel’s offerings, including 2-sided printed metal sheets that can be customized. Brandon Adams, Owner of Affinity Steel, worked closely with manufacturers to develop a two-sided printing coil, allowing for customization of metal panels with matching prints or colors on both sides.
"These unique sheets allow us to design custom fences, buildings, you name it, with the same print, style or color on both sides of the metal panel, even like wood," said Adams, during a tour with Midland Times.
The new larger facility design supports inside storage and loading to protect steel products from environmental wear, and a dedicated sales department for items like welding supplies like laser welders, rods and horse pens, gates, and fencing supplies. The location caters to industries in West Texas, including local construction and agriculture businesses.
Adams also introduced a patent-pending bracket for welding-free installations of the metal sheets.
“This bracket helps individuals who can’t or don’t want to weld and enhances efficiency,” Adams said. The bracket design will be on display at the Grand Opening, along with new state of the art AI machines for sheet metal fabrication.
Adams has 16 years of industry expertise. He has grown Affinity Steel into a key player in Midland’s construction sector. He owns six other local companies that specialize in industrial construction and development, carpentry, general and contracting.
