University of Texas Permian Basin to hold sunrise service on fourth anniversary of shootings

The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) will commemorate the fourth anniversary of the fatal Aug. 31, 2019, shootings that took place in both Midland and Odessa with a Shine a Light Sunrise Service in partnership with the Odessa Chamber, Odessa Arts, The City of Odessa, The Bridge, and Vitalant.

The company produced an average of 449,912 barrels of oil and gas per day and had net income of $556 million in the quarter.

The first official practice of the 2023 football season for the Midland Bulldogs was Aug. 7, Wes Torres, Athletic Director for Midland ISD, announced on X. He tagged Thad Fortune, who will once again lead the Bulldogs as head coach this season.
