The second piece of legislation, the Freeze Aid for Student Assaulters (FAFSA) Act of 2024, will strip federal student aid from those convicted of assaulting police officers or participating in riots.

The findings are based on a study conducted by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts at the request of the Texas Military Preparedness Commission (TMPC), which analyzed the economic impact of military installations within Texas.
