Texas Legislature presents Richard Milburn Academy Midland with proclamation

Richard Milburn Academy Midland received a resolution from the Texas Legislature in recognition of its 25th anniversary. | Facebook

On May 14, Richard Milburn Academy's (RMA) Midland campus in Texas received a resolution from the Texas Legislature. The accolade was in recognition of the school's 25 years of service in educating children. State Sen. Kevin Sparks (R-Midland) presented the resolution to the school.

The Odessa American reported that this resolution coincided with the grand opening of the school at its new location, 1305 N. Midland Dr. The institution is set to educate students from grades nine through twelve, offering innovative programs and opportunities.

According to KWES News, an NBC affiliate in Permian Basin, RMA's new building is a response to the growth and workforce needs of the Permian Basin.

In a post on their Facebook page, the school acknowledged that Sparks had been awarded the Texas Public Charter Schools Association Recognition Award for his unwavering support.

The RMA website revealed that their Midland campus commenced its educational services on August 22, 2016.

In addition to providing individualized instruction during four-hour school days, RMA also offers students opportunities to engage in various community outreach initiatives and school projects within Midland.
