The Midland Police Department (MPD) is inviting the community to participate in two upcoming events: the Bustin for Badges raffle ticket event and Coffee with a Cop, as announced on its Facebook page.
The Bustin for Badges raffle ticket event is scheduled for March 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Family Sports Midland, located at 5800 W. Hwy. 80. According to a post shared by MPD, the department will host the event alongside the Midland County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). Raffle tickets are priced at $20 and offer three prizes: a 2025 Polaris Ranger Crew 570, a $2,600 Kent Kwik gas card and four oil changes, and a CROSS-MAG-7PRC-24B-SAW rifle. The drawing will take place on May 2, and winners do not need to be present.
According to Midland Times, Bustin’ for Badges is a non-profit organization established in 2014 that has raised more than $4 million as of last year. The group’s annual clay shoot generates funds for Permian Basin law enforcement agencies.
