Foundation repairs at Bynum School are scheduled to begin in April, according to a filing with a state regulatory agency.
The March 14 filing outlines that the $5.7 million project involves the installation of portable classrooms to facilitate foundation repairs at the 35,000-square-foot school building. Keri St. John, the school's executive director, is leading the project.
The filing notes that the school is located at 5100 Avalon Drive in the northwest portion of the city. Work on the project is expected to commence on April 15 and continue until December 15.
According to the school's website, Bynum School is unique in West Texas for providing year-round education services to students from age three to adult. Over the past five years, this private nonprofit institution has experienced significant growth "reflecting the community's need for high-quality education for its special needs population."
