Students seeking guidance on career paths can receive assistance from Midland College's Advising Team.
Midland College (MC) announced on Facebook that its Advising Team participated in a conference dedicated to promoting and supporting quality academic advising in higher education institutions. The college said that the team "attended the NACADA-The Global Community for Academic Advising Conference where they engaged in professional development to help students in higher ed have a fresh new outlook on academic success." MC further mentioned that they will implement new strategies to empower students as they consider their future.
According to MC’s website, once students apply and are accepted to Midland College, they complete the admissions process with the help of an advisor. They can then register for classes. The programs offered at the school include computer information technology, public service, and education, among others.
NACADA is described on its website as an association of professional advisors, counselors, faculty, administrators, and students committed to enhancing the educational development of students.
