The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) meeting featured a notable presence from Midland College, as Pervis Evans, Dean of Public Service at the institution, participated in the event.
According to a Facebook post by Midland College, the institution expressed pride in Evans's ongoing contributions to shaping the future of education. "As a panelist, he discussed adaptive leadership for greater access, opportunity, and quality in education, emphasizing the importance of engaging faculty, strengthening K-12 partnerships, and aligning aspiring teachers’ experiences," the school said. They further mentioned their fortune in having his leadership on campus.
According to the AACTE website, this year's meeting took place in Long Beach, California. The theme was "Charting the Course for Educator Preparation," focusing on five dynamics that align with the association’s mission to transform education through enhanced educator preparation via research, professional practice, advocacy, and teamwork.
