Midland College has announced scheduled tours for its Pre-K Academy, taking place on March 5, March 19, and March 26, 2025. These tours are set from 4:30 to 5 p.m., offering prospective parents and families a chance to visit the facility, interact with staff, and gain insight into the available programs for three- and four-year-old children.

The Pre-K Academy aims to provide a nurturing environment that prepares young learners for future academic success. Eligibility requires children to be aged three or four by September 1 of the academic year. The academy offers a state-funded Pre-K option for qualifying families and accepts tuition students at $700 per month.

Amber Harmon, Executive Director of Early Childhood Education at Midland College, stated: “We realize the increasing need in our community for quality educational opportunities for three- and four-year-olds.” She added that the academy provides "a family atmosphere with high-quality staff who are passionate and dedicated to preparing young learners for success in Kindergarten and beyond."

The curriculum at the Pre-K Academy is evidence-based and state-approved, focusing on individualized support tailored to each child's unique needs. The program emphasizes culturally responsive teaching along with nurturing adult/child interactions.

Additionally, after-school care is available from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at an extra cost of $250 per month.

Families considering enrollment are encouraged to attend one of these tours to learn more about program specifics and eligibility criteria. Those interested in the state-funded option should bring necessary documents such as proof of income and residency.
