The Midland Fire Department (MFD) responded to three incidents within a 12-hour span between February 11 and 12, as reported on its Facebook page.
The first incident occurred at approximately 7:22 p.m. on February 11. Authorities said in a Facebook post that a truck caught fire in the 11300 block of West County Road 60. The fire was contained to two semis on the property, and no injuries were reported.
During the early morning hours of February 12, firefighters were summoned to a structure fire in the 2200 block of Commerce Drive. A post about the blaze indicated that the building was fully engulfed, and one employee was transported to the hospital.
Later that day, at approximately 9:25 a.m., MFD responded to a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of FM 1788 and FM 1787. According to another post, firefighters found one person pinned inside a vehicle. The individual was successfully freed and taken to the hospital in stable condition.
According to Midland Times, MFD had previously battled two structure fires over the weekend. One incident took place at approximately 2:42 p.m. on February 8 in the 500 block of East Stokes Avenue while another was a suspected arson at County Road 1192 and West County Road 114.
