West Texas FC announces Scarduzio as new Director of Goalkeeping/Assistant Coach

West Texas FC has announced the hiring of Matteo Scarduzio as Director of Goalkeeping and Assistant Coach.

According to a February 11 Facebook post shared by the Midland-based National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) franchise, Scarduzio played collegiately as a goalie at Indian Hills Community College in Iowa and Faulkner University in Alabama before entering the coaching ranks.

A native of San Secondo Parmense, Italy, Scarduzio stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 195 pounds. He has experience in USL League Two with Ocean City Nor’easters and has represented Italy internationally at the U15 level.

West Texas FC said that Scarduzio comes to the region with a pedigree of experience after working closely under head coach Scotty Murray for the past two years while at Faulkner.
