Midland College announced that its golf team and 13 athletes from various sports have received NJCAA All-Academic recognition. The awards recognize their achievements on the field and in the classroom.

The NJCAA All-Academic Award honors student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance while participating in intercollegiate athletics.

“We are exceedingly proud of our student-athletes for distinguishing themselves in the classroom,” said Midland College Athletic Director Forrest Allen.

“The balancing of academic and athletic pursuits is often not given full credit by many who don’t understand the considerable sacrifices it takes to excel in both arenas,” he said. "These students are an outstanding example of high achievement on and off the various venues of competitive performance.”

To qualify for NJCAA All-Academic recognition, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
