The Midland RockHounds suffered their second consecutive defeat in their road series against the Wichita Wind Surge, losing 4-1 on April 11.

According to a report from the team, after Wichita's Kyler Fedko hit a home run in the bottom of the second inning to give the Wind Surge a 1-0 lead, RockHounds outfielder Henry Bolte tied the game with an RBI double in the top of the third inning.

Midland then allowed three more runs to Wichita, resulting in a 4-1 advantage for the Wind Surge. Despite recording eight hits, the RockHounds also struck out eight times, with third baseman Luke Mann being retired at the plate twice.

Starting pitcher Luis Morales recorded four strikeouts and four walks and gave up Fedko's home run, consequently earning a loss.

The RockHounds aim for a weekend sweep before returning home to host the Corpus Christi Hooks. They are scheduled to play against the Wind Surge at 4:05 p.m. on April 12 and at 1:05 p.m. on April 13.
