West Texas FC (WTXFC) has bolstered its defense with the signing of Abdallah Traore, as announced in an April 11 Facebook post.
According to WTXFC, Traore joins the team from the University of Memphis, where he plays as a center defender for the Tigers men's soccer team.
Traore, originally from Trondheim, Norway, began his American soccer career in East Texas at Angelina College in Lufkin. He served as captain of a Roadrunners program recognized as a powerhouse in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I. Under his leadership, Angelina achieved a 23-6-4 record over two seasons. For his contributions, Traore earned all-conference honors twice.
