Midland College has announced that the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) has provided a $10,000 scholarship grant. The school will utilize the funds to advance its respiratory care program.

According to a news release from the school, the grant is expected to help students lower their financial costs of attending Midland College. The NBRC is aiding educational institutions in an effort to enhance and support the next generation of skilled respiratory specialists.

"We are immensely thankful for this generous contribution from the National Board for Respiratory Care," Midland College’s Department Chair of Respiratory Care Kally Edison said. "These funds will make a significant impact on our students, providing them with the resources they need to succeed and ultimately contribute to the health and well-being of our community."

The college’s respiratory support program is robust and known to develop highly skilled therapists, according to the news release. The school also expects that the funds from NBRC will give more students the opportunity to enter the program.
