The Permian Basin Great 25 (PBG25) Nurses Recognition Program is now accepting nominations for its 2024 class. According to its website, the program aims to highlight "dedicated professionals who have committed their lives to serving others."

This program recognizes nurses from nearby counties including Andrews, Borden, Brewster, Crane, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock, Howard, Loving, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Pecos, Reagan, Reeves, Terrell, Upton, Ward, and Winkler.

Midland Memorial Hospital Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President, and board member of PBG25 Dr. Kit Bredimus emphasized the significance of the event, saying, "This is a great event that highlights the contributions of these behind-the-scenes heroes who have dedicated their lives to serving others."

To be eligible for nomination, nurses must be currently employed within the Permian Basin and surrounding counties and hold an active Registered Nurse License.

Community members, colleagues, and patients should nominate nurses who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and excellence in their field. Individuals are not limited to the number of nurses nominated.

Nominations can be submitted online and will be reviewed by the PBG25 Board of Directors and a community nomination review committee.

The nomination process is open until July 21 at 11:59 p.m. Completed forms can be submitted on the program's website or emailed to Board@PBGreat25.com.

The winners of the 2024 Permian Basin Great 25 Nurses will be announced in October, with a recognition ceremony scheduled for October 17 at the Texas Tech Health Sciences - Permian Basin campus in Odessa at 6 p.m.
