In this edition of "Adoptable Pet of the Week," introduced are two companions waiting for their “fur-ever” homes at the Midland Humane Coalition, Maggie and Katniss.
Maggie is a 1-year-old Husky/Heeler mix, and her two adorable pups found refuge with kind strangers who nurtured them until the Midland Humane Coalition stepped in to extend its care. While Maggie is adjusting to her new surroundings, her vibrant personality is already shining through. Described as a curious lady with a penchant for laps, Maggie is on a mission to befriend as many people as possible. She thrives on attention and treats, occasionally expressing her joy with cute howls. Maggie, having been a loving mother to her pups Cinnamon and Nutmeg, is poised to bring that same warmth to her forever family.
Katniss is a 5-month-old female Domestic Short Hair with striking black tabby markings. Katniss's journey led her to MHC after being discovered as a stray kitten, unfortunately never reunited with her original owners. Now fully vetted and ready for a loving home, Katniss is an irresistibly cute and playful kitten. Having mingled with other cats, she presents an excellent addition to any family willing to open their hearts to her. While her compatibility with dogs is yet to be determined, her endearing nature promises a delightful feline companion.
If you're considering adopting a pet, think about welcoming Maggie or Katniss into your home. Visit the Midland Humane Coalition to meet these two companions and explore the possibility of giving them a loving home.
