The city of Midland, Texas has released its 2024 Traffic Crash Report, which indicates a decline in various categories of traffic incidents. The report reveals that total crashes, non-injury crashes, injury crashes, total injuries, fatal crashes, and total fatalities all decreased in 2024 compared to the previous year. This improvement occurred even though there was a 3% increase in traffic volume across the city.

A notable finding from the report is a 9.38% reduction in total crashes. Despite these improvements, the interchange at Loop 250 and Andrews Highway remains the location with the highest number of crashes in Midland. Additionally, seven out of the top ten crash sites were located on Loop 250 or other interstate roadways.
