The Midland RockHounds are preparing for the 2024 season with a lineup of promotions and events at Momentum Bank Ballpark. The 52nd franchise season will begin on Tuesday, April 9.

The season boasts a total of 69 games, featuring theme nights, giveaways, and daily specials. Among the attractions are 14 fireworks shows, 17 coveted giveaway items, eight specialty jerseys, and six Copa nights.

"We are pleased to announce an excellent 2024 promotional schedule, which our team has earnestly put together for RockHounds fans," said RockHounds General Manager Shelly Haenggi in a release on the Midland Rockhounds website. "This season’s promo schedule offers a great deal of variety and fun for everyone. Our promotions include exciting theme nights, spectacular fireworks celebrations, and unique giveaways to be enjoyed by fans of all ages. We look forward to celebrating another great season of RockHounds baseball, quality family entertainment, and much in store for ’24!"

Themed nights scheduled for the RockHounds include Star Wars, Marvel's Defenders of the Diamond, Christmas in July, and Pirates and Princesses. The Bark in the Park event will return for three nights early in the season, along with Safety Awareness Days for schools. The highlight of July will be three consecutive firework nights, accompanying the annual "Independence Day Celebration" from July 4 to 6.

Giveaways include caps, themed jerseys, posters, and bobbleheads, according to the release. The Lawrence Butler bobblehead will be featured on June 21. Butler, who began the 2023 season in Midland, made his MLB debut in Oakland on Aug. 11, earning recognition as a rising star in the league.

Daily promotions include offerings such as 2-for-1 tickets on Tuesdays, half-price hot dogs on Wednesdays, discounted fountain drinks and alcoholic beverages on Thursdays, giveaways for the first 1,000 attendees and kids-run-the-bases on Fridays, post-game fireworks shows and theme nights on Saturdays, and a special five tickets for a $25 deal on Sundays, along with free umbrellas for the first 250 attendees.

Opening Night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9. The game will kick off the season with a schedule magnet and T-shirt giveaway.
