Cheyenne Heady said that client loyalty is best built through curating friendships with clients over time.

“And I feel like that’s why we still have a lot of our clients, because it’s more of like a friendship type level,” said Cheyenne Heady on a recent edition of the Best of Midland Podcast

“You could be cutting hair for like 6 months, and you’d probably see like a few of the same people,” said Dee Mesa. “It takes years, and that’s what I’d try to tell anyone going into school, just keep doing it, don’t stop.”

Deatra (Dee) Mesa and Cheyenne Heady opened Off The Wall Barbershop early in 2023. Off The Wall gained attention as they became known for their sensory-friendly haircuts. As a walk-in based shop, they accept everyone for haircuts, but Cheyenne’s experience with her own autistic son, they have become well known for their skill in that area.
