A new Kent Lube Center is scheduled to begin construction this spring, according to a filing by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
John Holmes, a construction manager with Kent Distributors, LLC, is leading the development. The $3 million project, named Kent Lube Center 131, involves constructing a 10,040 square-foot facility.
The project is expected to commence on April 30 and be completed by December 31. The new facility will be located near the intersection of Thomason Drive and North Loop 250 W. The design firm Zemanek Architecture +Design, LLC from Jenks, Oklahoma worked on the project.
According to the company’s website, Kent Lube has been operating in Midland for 45 years. The company was initially known as Kent Lubrication Centers and was the first ten-minute oil change operation in West Texas. Currently, Kent Lube has one center in Midland located at 1605 Rankin Highway.
