In this edition of "Adoptable Pet of the Week," introduced are two companions waiting for their “fur-ever” homes at the Midland Humane Coalition, Porkchop and Dickie.
Porkchop is a 5-month-old male Domestic Short Hair adorned with orange tabby and white markings. Rescued from the streets as a young kitten, Porkchop has a shy but undeniably lovable nature. As he adjusts to new environments, he may initially be a bit scared, making him the perfect match for a calm and patient home. This young feline would likely thrive in the company of another kitten or cat, and while he has not lived with dogs before, a gentle introduction could open up new possibilities.
Dickie is an 8-month old Labrador who has an equally heartening tale. Originally found as a young stray alongside his six siblings, Dickie and his brother Tom are the last two awaiting their forever homes. At less than a year old, Dickie is a large and friendly Labrador, expected to weigh over 75 pounds once fully grown. This affable canine companion is not only dog-friendly but also kid-friendly, making him an excellent addition to families. Dickie enjoys car rides, adding an extra layer of companionship for those who love to explore with their four-legged friends.
If you're considering adopting a pet, think about welcoming Porkchop or Dickie into your home. Visit the Midland Humane Coalition to meet these two companions and explore the possibility of giving them a loving home.
