KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot in Midland opened its doors to the public this week. According to Your Basin, the restaurant is offering Korean fusion “family style” cuisine.

“This is the only thing like this around here, so everyone’s flocking towards it,” store team member Garrett Maney told Your Basin. “We’ve been pretty slammed the last few days... the community is pretty excited.”

Offering “family style” food, the new Korean fusion spot has already attracted an influx of patrons and received positive reviews, per the Your Basin report.

“You order different meats, and everything comes to the table family style for everybody to share. The meat cooks at the table in a broth or on the grill and there’s different appetizers and sauces for you to customize your dishes,” Maney told Your Basin.

The dine-in price per person is $30 for a span of 90 minutes. Orders are placed by guests on an iPad containing a timer.

“The restaurant offers a hands-on-all-you-can-eat dining experience that combines traditional hot pot (when a heat source is placed on the table in order to keep a pot of soup stock simmering) and Korean barbecue (method of grilling meat on a gas/charcoal grill located on the dining table),” an MRT report states.

Located at 3116 N Loop 250, Suite 300, the restaurant opens its doors from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday through Saturday, according to Your Basin.

News of the chain’s arrival was confirmed last September during a Planning & Zoning commissioners meeting.

According to Maney, the restaurant has been well-received by patrons so far.

“It’s a new experience, it’s fun with friends…an interactive experience. I hope we can find our spot in the Midland community and that people will continue to enjoy it," Maney said.
