As winter subsides and the weather moves to warmer seasons, the Permian Panthers recently celebrated the start to a new baseball season, according to CBS7 News.
Permian players, families and fans came together to enjoy a day of baseball, eating and grilling outside in the open sun as the Permian Panthers hosted scrimmages with visiting Lubbock Cooper.
“Thank you for the weather today,” Ashton Coats, Permian senior and Panthers team player told CBS7 News. “Yesterday, we scrimmaged Seminole and had to scrape the snow off the place. I love all the fans, I’m thankful for everyone, and I’m just happy to be here with my brothers."
The regular season recently began with the Panthers taking on Canyon High at Lubbock Cooper.
