Ella Tofaeono will make the jump from Midland College to continue her basketball career at Texas A&M.
The college sophomore made the commitment this month but had her sights on the Aggies since her freshman year.
“I knew pretty early on that I wanted to be an Aggie because I’ve heard so many great things about the culture. And it being in a Power Five and the SEC and them having a Hall of Fame coach and his coaching staff has been with him so long,” she told YourBasin.com.
Tofaeono has two years of eligibility left for her collegiate career. She stayed in Midland to complete her courses online.
While playing for Midland College, she earned All-American third team honors and was named to the All-Conference team.
After sitting out a year, Tofaeono started in 7 of the 20 games she played for the Chaps, averaging 11.4 points a game, NCJAARegion5.com reported. She had a 58.3% field goal percentage, shot 33.3% on three-pointers and shot 51.5% from the line. The forward averaged 6.9 rebounds per game.
