The Midland Chamber of Commerce commemorated the first anniversary of Mary's Christian & Gift Store over the weekend of March 22, as reported in a Facebook post.

According to the chamber's March 25 post, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the religious establishment located at 3205 W. Cuthbert Ave. to celebrate this milestone. "We’re so excited to celebrate this milestone with you and recognize the impact your store has had on the community," the post said. "Your dedication to faith, inspiration, and thoughtful gifts has truly been a blessing to many."

In its own Facebook post, Mary’s expressed gratitude for the community's love and support. The business thanked Deacon Sergio Cedillo of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine for hosting Bible Storytime with its youngest customers, Deacon Mike Hernandez of St. Anne’s Catholic Church for blessing the store, and the chamber for organizing the ribbon-cutting event. "It’s been a beautiful year of faith, fellowship, and service," Mary’s wrote. "We look forward to continuing to serve our community and growing together in Christ."

Mary's Christian & Gift Store is positioned as the only local Christian store outside of church premises. Established by Tracy Valles, it was inspired by her mother, Mary, and the Blessed Virgin Mary as a tribute to their enduring faith and devotion. The store operates Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., remaining closed on Sundays.
