Midland College is organizing a free event aimed at local homeschool families to introduce them to the college's resources and opportunities. Scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the event will take place at the Fasken Learning Resource Center on the Midland College campus. It includes campus tours and presentations of key resources available at the institution.

Justin Bateman, Associate Vice President of Instructional Support at Midland College, expressed enthusiasm about continuing support for the local homeschool community. “Midland College is committed to providing students with the resources and support needed to succeed academically," he stated. "This event is a great way for families to learn about the dual credit opportunities available to homeschool students and explore how our programs can help them achieve their goals.”

The event offers participants an opportunity to engage with faculty and staff while exploring how Midland College supports its students through various academic and career-focused initiatives. A significant highlight will be introducing attendees to dual credit programs that allow high school students to earn college credits.

Amy Webb, Director of Dual Credit Partnerships, emphasized Midland College's mission of ensuring access to higher education for all students. “We are especially excited to offer free dual credit to our homeschool families, helping them get a head start on their academic journey," she noted.

The college maintains its dedication by fostering a supportive environment that encourages lifelong learning among community members. Bateman added, “We are committed to helping students thrive and reach their full potential."

Families interested in attending are encouraged to register on the Midland College website.
