The number of passengers flying out of Midland International Air & Space Port in February 2025 was the second largest for the month, trailing only February 2024. A total of 52,217 passengers flew with airlines such as Southwest, United, American Eagle, or Delta, representing a 2.94% decrease from the previous year's record total of 53,797.
Despite this decrease compared to last year, the number of passengers over five months this fiscal year reached 300,333, marking a 5.02% increase from last year's record pace. The February 2025 figure also highlights long-term growth in airline passenger numbers at Midland, showing a rise of 13.8% since February 2019 and an increase of 48.3% since February 2015.
Southwest Airlines carried the largest share of passengers in February with approximately 45.3%, followed by United at 29.5%.
City officials reported that parking revenue at Midland International Air & Space Port increased by 9.39% in February compared to the same month in the previous year. The net parking revenue for February was $642,951, which brought the fiscal year-to-date total to $3.53 million—a rise of 9.61% compared to the first five months of FY 2024.
