RockHounds invite graduating high school seniors to play for 2025 scholarship program

The Midland RockHounds have announced an opportunity for graduating high school seniors to apply for the 2025 RockHounds Scholarship.

According to a March 1 Facebook post, the Double-A Minor League Baseball (MiLB) affiliate is accepting applications until May 9. The scholarship offers $1,000 for one year and is non-renewable.

The RockHounds state that applicants must be enrolled in a public or private school in the Midland or Odessa area, scheduled to receive a high school diploma in the spring semester of 2025, and plan to enroll in college for the fall semester of 2025. The application form can be accessed online at mg.mlbstatic.com/milb-images/image/upload/milb/nkqyrubnerkesjd5gpcq.pdf.

Simmons from the team indicates that all sections of the application must be completed. Completed applications can be submitted in a sealed envelope either by bringing them to the RockHounds’ offices during normal business hours or by mailing them to RockHounds Scholarship Program, Attention: Jonathan Simmons, 5514 Champions Dr., Midland, TX 79706.
