A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has disclosed the timeline for Phase I of the Greenwood High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) project.
According to the February 17 filing, the $15.8 million project involves a 30,000 square foot addition for CTE spaces and a life skills interior renovation of approximately 4,500 square feet. Superintendent Ariel Elliott is leading the project.
The project is expected to begin on April 2 and run until October 4, according to the filing. Construction timelines are preliminary, but they indicate that the district expects the project to be completed within six months.
Greenwood High School is located at 2700 FM 1379. Austin Moore, with the Lubbock-based design firm Parkhill, worked on the project. According to Greenwood Independent School District (ISD), the career and technological labs project funding comes from Proposition A of the voter-approved 2023 bond, which earmarked $198.7 million for numerous district projects.
