A significant cold front is anticipated to impact the Midland area this week, following a period of unseasonably warm weather.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Midland announced on social media platform X that winter conditions are set to return. "The temperature rollercoaster begins! We warm up to start the work week before a strong cold front reminds us it is still Winter. Tumbling temperatures are to be expected to close out the week," the organization said.

Although the forecast predicts dry weather, there will be several days with temperatures below freezing and wind chills dropping below zero.
