A local non-profit organization, Yucca Learning, is planning to convert a single-family home into a classroom.
According to a January 5 filing with a state regulatory agency, Natalie London, the executive director of Yucca Learning, is spearheading the project to remodel an 1,800 square-foot home located at 1100 E. Dormard Street. The facility will be named Monarch House, and the working title for the renovation project is "Yucca Learning - Monarch House Renovation."
The estimated cost of the renovation is $200,000. It is scheduled to begin on February 1 and be completed by September 1. An architect for the project has not been listed.
According to Refdin, the home was built in 1966 and spans a 7,275 square foot lot. The estimated value of the home is $213,695. Yucca Learning launched Yucca Studios, a second through ninth-grade school, in 2019.
