IDEA Public Schools is set to commence construction on its new $35 million Henry campus next month.
According to a filing with a state regulatory agency, the planned school will encompass 92,000 square feet and will be situated along Briarwood Avenue. Construction is scheduled to begin on May 5 and is expected to be completed by July 6, 2026.
Lydia Rodriguez, project manager for IDEA Public Schools based in Weslaco in the Rio Grande Valley, is overseeing the construction of the facility. The design of the project was managed by Corgan's Houston architecture office.
According to the Texas Bid Network, the school will be constructed as a two-story building on an undeveloped site. The scope of work includes installing infrastructure, structural steel framing, site utilities, landscaping and irrigation, along with associated tasks.
