A local retirement community is set to undergo renovations in areas accessible to the public, as reported by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

According to a December 18 TDLR filing, Polo Park will receive a $967,320 renovation of its 28,900 square-foot space. The project will include new flooring, wall finishes, fixtures, and millwork in the public areas of the complex.

Carey Edmund, director for senior living capital expenditures with Ventas Inc., is overseeing the project through the subsidiary Ventas Polo Park LLC. The remodel is scheduled to commence on January 6 and conclude by April 15.

Polo Park is situated at 2100 Castleford Road. The project has been titled "Polo Park Interior Refresh." Dallas-based architects Perkins Eastman collaborated with Ventas on this remodel initiative.

Edmund was previously manager for Ventas senior living capital expenditures from September 2021 to February 2024, according to his LinkedIn profile. Before that role, he served as vice president for Fortress Investment Group for nearly six years.
