Midland announces holiday recycling schedule for waste collection

The schedule for holiday recycling and waste collection in Midland, Texas, has been announced. The facilities involved include Solid Waste, Citizens Collection Station, the Landfill, and designated Christmas Tree drop-off points.

The BRI facility at 26 West Industrial Loop will be closed from December 23 to 25 and on January 1. For solid waste collection, regular trash pickup is scheduled for Monday, December 23. The service will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Thursday, December 26, Tuesday's regular trash pickup will occur, followed by commercial routes on Friday, December 27.

The Citizens Collection Station will remain closed on December 23 through December 25. It will reopen from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday, with hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The landfill will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday and Thursday through Friday but will close for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On Saturday, it will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

For those disposing of cut Christmas trees in Midland, drop-off recycling locations are available at Hogan Park behind the Armory on Lamesa Road and the Citizens Collection Station by Airpark.
