Midland Bulldogs basketball player Donaven Tarango recently discussed a typical day in his life in a video posted to X, a social media platform.

The Midland Bulldog Basketball team shared the video on X, tagging assistant coach Reece Puckett. They said: "94 feet with Senior Forward @Donaven_2. Great kid and hard worker."

In the video, Tarango explained that he begins his day with morning practice, which includes strength and conditioning as part of one of his periods. He also participates in regular practice later in the day. Tarango mentioned that his favorite basketball move is the midrange pull-up. "I just want to have a better season than last year and try to get this team in the playoffs for the first time in a long time," he said regarding his goals for his senior season.

According to Uncommon Exposure, a basketball website focused on maximizing recruiting prospects, Tarango is recognized as a shooting guard who has previously received all-district honorable mention and has been named defensive player of the year for the Bulldogs. Vanlandingham writes about Tarango: "Tough hard hat wing that does all the little things that lead to wins." He adds that Tarango "plays bigger than 6-foot-1" and "rebounds the ball at a high level for a guard and is at his best finishing plays in the paint."

MaxPreps reports that the Bulldogs currently hold a record of 6-8.
