Midland County Sheriff David Criner reported that the Midland County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) made three significant arrests last month.
According to the MCSO Facebook page, deputies apprehended a man after drugs were allegedly found in his vicinity on October 29, a woman on child abuse charges on October 22, and another woman on animal cruelty charges on October 11.
Deputies were summoned to the 3200 block of Franklin Avenue in Midland, where they discovered methamphetamine, heroin, and black tar heroin. The individual inside the residence at the time of investigators’ arrival, identified as 63-year-old Mark Allen Nolf, was arrested on four local municipal warrants. Criner said that Nolf faces further charges and that the case is still being investigated.
On October 22, MCSO investigators responded to a call regarding child custody issues in the 3700 block WCR 138. A juvenile told authorities that they felt unsafe going home. The juvenile’s other family members informed deputies that the child was a victim of possible physical abuse at the hands of their mother, identified as 34-year-old Jacqueline Pruneda Hinojos. Hinojos was arrested for alleged injury to a child.
A welfare check on a residence in the 3900 block of SCR 1200 on October 11 led to the discovery of multiple malnourished canines, with some locked in cages without food or water. Authorities seized 14 dogs and transported them to the Midland Animal Shelter (MAS) for treatment. One of the dogs had to be euthanized because it was in poor condition. Fifty-four-year-old Loretta Lynn Hebert was arrested on 13 misdemeanor warrants and one felony warrant for cruelty to non-livestock animals.
