Midland Independent School District (ISD) is inviting professionals to share their career experiences with students during the district's Career Exploration Day next month.
"Share your college, career or military journey with 8th grade students as they learn about careers. We are seeking people from all industries! Sign up to speak at one of four junior high campuses in the time spot of your choice. Students enjoy interacting with real people from our community as they begin to consider their own future plans. #studentexperience #madeinmisd," the district said in a Facebook post.
According to a flier accompanying the post, Career Exploration Day will be held on November 13. The event allows individuals from various sectors, including homemakers, those in the oil industry, and local business leaders, to spend 15 minutes speaking with 8th-grade students about their work. The aim is for this exposure to assist students in making informed educational choices that align with their career interests.
