Midland Independent School District (MISD) officials recently celebrated the opening of the district’s new Family Support Center.
According to the district’s website, the center aids students and employees of MISD with food, hygiene products, school supplies, books, and provides recommendations to other community agencies. The new center, which offers private and walk-in appointments, is located at 2101 East Indiana.
"We are proud to announce the official grand opening of Midland ISD’s Family Support Center! The FSC is dedicated to assisting families in need, and none of this would be possible without the support of our generous donors, volunteers, and partners," the district said in a Facebook post.

According to the MISD website, during the 2021-22 school year, the Family Support Center provided assistance to over 3,000 people with the help of community members who donated to the program. The center examines the assistance needed by families on a case-by-case basis and then seeks to help with resources.
