Midland ISD: ‘Congratulations to our new LHS homecoming king and queen’

Legacy High School celebrated its homecoming week with notable events both on and off the field during their game against San Angelo Central.

Abbye Ramos-Yadon and Aiden Serrano were crowned homecoming king and queen. The pair are a couple outside of school activities. "I am homecoming queen," said Ramos-Yadon in the Rebel homecoming 2024 YouTube video. "My man scored four times in the first half."

According to MaxPreps.com, the Rebels emerged victorious over the Bobcats with a score of 42-36. Serrano made significant contributions by carrying the ball three times for nine yards and scoring two touchdowns, alongside seven receptions for 130 yards and two additional touchdowns. Quarterback JP Reyes achieved 281 passing yards and three touchdowns, while Hayes Hamm carried the ball 17 times for 96 yards and one touchdown.

The district expressed its pride on social media: "Congratulations to our new LHS Homecoming King and Queen! Last night was filled with Rebel pride during their Homecoming game. LHS took home a huge victory with their first district win against San Angelo Central. #StudentExperience #MadeinMISD," they said in a Facebook post.
