McCoy enjoying stellar season rushing for the 4-1 Bulldogs

Midland High School running back Elijah McCoy is having a notable season for the Bulldogs. He recently shared his rushing statistics on X, tagging members of the team's coaching staff.

McCoy, described as a three-star player, is currently the highest-rated offensive commit that the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Miners have recruited, according to Miner Insider. "I want to be one of those people to take a chance," he said regarding his decision to choose UTEP.

According to 247Sports, McCoy stands at 5’8" and weighs 180 pounds. He is in his senior year with the Bulldogs and has rushed for 1,548 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2023, averaging 6.56 yards per carry. In addition to football, McCoy participates in track events where he has achieved several sub-11.00 second times in the 100-meter dash, including times of 10.81 and 10.82 seconds.
