Fausta "Faye" Ramirez, 83, passed away on September 24, 2024. She is survived by her cherished partner Jesse Alcocer, daughter Sandra Salcido Beeson, siblings Cruz Ramirez Winger and Emilio Ramirez, as well as three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Faye, born in Midland on October 13, 1940, was a descendant of one of the original families of Midland. She was known for her passion for travel, family connections, and vibrant personality.

Throughout her life, Faye embraced various careers and causes, from cosmetology to nursing, always returning to her roots in Midland. A vocal advocate for migrant workers' rights in California during the 1970s, Faye also owned Mi Lugar, a beloved local bar, where she shared laughter and created a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. Known for her outspoken nature, Faye found joy in music, dancing, and spending time with loved ones.

A celebration of Faye's life will be held in Midland, Texas, on October 13th. Details can be obtained by contacting the family.
