The Midland Police Department (MPD) is preparing for another holiday season with its Blue Santa initiative.

According to a November 21 Facebook post by the Permian Basin law enforcement agency, a video was shared featuring Blue Santa, clad in blue and white, as he prepares to "spread some serious holiday cheer." The post indicates that with a Midland police cruiser acting as his sleigh, Blue Santa is on a mission to make this holiday season unforgettable. MPD states that Blue Santa is seeking assistance from the community to donate new, unwrapped toys through December 9.

Residents are encouraged to drop off their donations at various locations including MPD headquarters, Bowlero, Classic Honda, Chuy's Restaurant, F45 Training, Hillander School, Diamondback Energy, Kent Kwik Corporate Office, Black Rifle Coffee Co., and Midland City Hall.

Additionally, MPD invites the public to join Cocoa, Coffee, and Cookies with Blue Santa on December 14 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Centennial Park located at 200 W. Wall St.
